Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your Color by Nonogram account and the data we hold about you, as required by Google Play and the App Store.

What gets deleted

If you request account deletion, we will permanently remove:

• Your anonymous Supabase user record
• All puzzle progress and solve history
• Energy state + last-regen timestamps
• Owned entitlements (purchased packs, palettes, remove-ads)
• Aggregate progression (total cells solved, level)
• Receipt records for any in-app purchases (the purchases themselves are owned by Apple / Google and can still be refunded through them; we just remove our local copy)

The free-fill canvases you painted (per-puzzle repaint state) live only on your device and are removed automatically when you uninstall the app — nothing to delete server-side.

How to delete your account

In the app (fastest, immediate)

1. Open the app
2. Go to Settings → Legal → Delete my account
3. Confirm the destructive prompt
4. Your account and all data are permanently deleted within seconds; no further action needed.

By email (if you no longer have the app installed)

If you’ve uninstalled and can’t reach the in-app option:

Email: privacy@otfdp.com

Subject line: “Account deletion request”

Include in the body:

1. Your anonymous Account ID — if you still have it (Settings → Account → Account ID before you uninstalled)
2. The device platform you used (iOS or Android)
3. (Optional) The reason — helps us improve, not required

We respond within 30 days per GDPR / CCPA requirements. Most requests are processed within 5 business days.

What if I can’t open the app to get the Account ID?

If you’ve uninstalled or can’t access your account ID, email us with:

• The platform (iOS or Android)
• The approximate date you first installed the app
• If you made any purchases, the email associated with your Apple ID or Google Play account (we can match against IAP receipts)

We’ll search for matching accounts and confirm before deleting.

Alternative: uninstall the app

Uninstalling the app from your device removes all locally-cached data immediately — game state, free-fill canvases, UI preferences, the cached account session. Your anonymous account on our backend persists (so reinstalling restores progress on the same device), but no further data is sent.

To fully delete the backend account, email us as above.

Account linked to Apple / Google sign-in

If you upgraded your anonymous account to Sign in with Apple or Google, deletion includes:

• The link between your account and the Apple ID / Google account (revoked)
• All the same data as anonymous accounts (listed above)

The Apple ID or Google account itself is unaffected — that’s owned by Apple / Google and we have no control over it.
